Regions 1,3, 8 share Super Team title, athletes collect individual medals at 2024 Women’s Development Program National Championships

The 2024 USA Gymnastics’ Women’s Development Program National Championships concluded Sunday in Daytona Beach, Florida with regional team and individual titles being awarded.

The 2024 USA Gymnastics’ Women’s Development Program National Championships concluded Sunday in Daytona Beach, Florida with regional team and individual titles being awarded.

Defending champions Region 1 shared the 2024 Super Team title with Regions 3 and 8. Each of the three regions accumulated 70 points over the weekend of competition in a three-way tie for gold, the first one in the championships’ history. Region 7 had the second-highest point total with 69, and Region 5 was third highest with 57.

In individual competition, three gymnasts recorded a perfect 10 on an apparatus during the championships. Seniors Kailin Chio (Las Vegas, Nev./Gymcats Gymnastics), Allison Cucci (Otsego, Minn./Twin City Twisters) and Sophia Diaz (Clarksville, Md./Hill’s Gymnastics) each achieved the feat on vault in their respective sessions. Chio claimed four total individual titles, winning in the all-around and on uneven bars and balance beam in addition to her gold on vault, and Cucci and Diaz also posted all-around wins.

Among the juniors, Josie Lynch had the highest all-around score of the competition with a 39.150. She also won titles on vault and beam for a total of three gold medals.

Individual winners were crowned across junior, senior and All-Star divisions and are listed below along with any apparatus titles won.

Omaha Gymnastics Academy

OGA operates under the philosophy that each child who comes through our doors will benefit from the life-lessons of gymnastics: self-confidence, self-discipline, work ethic, fitness, and goal-setting.  We impart these lessons in a fun, safe, caring environment where we believe we are not just developing good gymnasts, but confident, disciplined students of life. 

OGA's educational program offers a place for every level of gymnastics from the recreational beginner through elite. Our 13,000 square foot facility features two in-ground foam pits, an in-ground trampoline, and multiple sets of Olympic-specification equipment.  Our coaching staff is committed to bringing the highest levels of technical coaching expertise to each one of our students.

Programs

Preschool Classes

KiDS body shop provides gymnastics classes for children ages 18 months through 5 yrs of age. Classes are held Monday through Thursday (days and/or evenings) and Saturday mornings under the School-Year Schedule. Under the Summer Schedule classes are held Monday through Friday (days and/or evenings). Children younger than 3 years are accompanied in class by their parent(s). Parent(s) of students 3 years old (also potty trained) and older view classes from our climate-controlled lobby.

Recreational Classes

OGA's educational program offers a place for every level of gymnastics from the recreational beginner through elite. Girls’ Competitive Teams

OGA offers three different girls’s competitive programs including USAG developmental, Xcel, and Elite. The developmental program includes levels 2-10. The Xcel program includes levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. And the Elite program includes TOPS, HOPES, as well as Junior and Senior Elite.

Boys’ competitive team

OGA offers USAG competitive program consists of All-Around gymnasts ranging from Level 5 skill rules through Level 10 skill rules. They train between 9 and 20 hours per week year-round. Their Competitive season takes place during the winter months from January through March with state, regional and national championships happening in April and May.
